Symbolism

In Egyptian mythology Nut was goddess of the sky. She was often depicted as a woman with an elongated body touching earth, bending over the globe thus forming an arch of the heavens. Nut became protectress of the dead and her image was often found on the inner lid of sarcophagi.

Full Moon: Feminine energy, eternal without beginning or end, life itself and the spirit, wholeness, completion and achievement. Power of the dark, mysterious side of nature.

Triangle of Stars: Divine power and Venus, Goddess.

Comet: Comets traditionally have negative connotations. They were seen as manifestations of the wrath of the sun gods or bringers of disasters, war and pestilence. As disruptive forces, they were felt to unsettle the harmony of nature. (The claw in the painting comes from the comet).

Clouds & Mist: Symbolize mystery and the sacred; in many cultures, the gods are shown enveloped in clouds. The Chinese believed that clouds were formed from the union of yin and yang and therefore symbolize peace. For the Romans, The British Isles, shrouded in mist, symbolized the magical land at the end of the world.

The Pendant: Conceived by the artist. A combination of symbols representing masculine & feminine energies, protection, sun, moon, earth and divine wisdom.

Symbols on Robe: Feminine power, sun, omega, thunderpower energy, four elements, connected, divine power, lifespath, 9 gifts of spirit, Libra.
